Bamboo Shark

Hi! I’m a Bamboo Shark

The Brownbanded Bamboo Shark is considered one of the sharks best suited to aquarium living, due to their docile, easy-going nature. They live between the shore and the reef, in muddy areas where they can hunt for crabs, worms, shrimps, and small fish. They are able to survive out of water for a couple of hours!

The National Zoo & Aquarium is home to 1 Bamboo Shark.
