Diamond Python
Hi! I’m a Diamond Python
The Diamond Python is found in coastal areas of New South Wales into Victoria. They are closely related to the Carpet Python, and have diamond-shaped blotches covering their bodies. They are an arboreal python, and spend their days in the trees, or occasionally in suburban area where they've been found living in roofs. Don't panic if there's a python in your rafters—they are non-venomous, and can help manage rats and possums!
The National Zoo & Aquarium is home to 1 Diamond Python, Coombah.
