Black Headed Python

Hi! I’m a Black Headed Python

The Black Headed Python is found across the northern half of Australia. It has a distinctive shiny black head, which it pokes out its burrow to absord warm sunlight. Despite its intimidating appearance, it's not venomous, and is generally easy to handle.

The National Zoo & Aquarium is home to 1 Black Headed Python, Pickle.
