The Red Tailed Boa Constrictor is a large snake that inhabits the Americas, mostly Central and Southern America. They are avid swimmers, though spend most of their time on land or in trees. Boas have a gestation period of 4-5 months, after which the eggs hatch within the mother, who births live young.
